A 2015 Ram Pickup. I rarely drive over 50 miles to hunt, and don't encounter the dirt roads that a lot of you do out West. Most of mine is highway, or paved country roads. So, therefore mine is just a nice truck with a bed big enough to haul any supplies I need for an outing that will only last up to 6 - 8 hours. You**** Pornhub TubegaloreThen its homeward bound for me.

i have a 2004 chevy trailblazer 4x4,if it does not fit behind the rear seat it does not go my dog will let a ice chest be on the rear floor, but the rest of the back seat is hers,i take my dry washer, blue bowl, vac, water, pans, table. batterys ,misc stuff. iam to lazy to put stuff on the top.
have fun out there.

Actually thought of this thread while I start early shopping for a replacement truck in the spring. It's gonna be a rebuild of Moby you saw above, but using a clean southern chassis and body tub, followed by a rebuilt motor and transmission and whatever else I deem necessary.

I'm planning some upgrades to the electrical system, another, isolated battery, maybe a second alternator. The cooling system, gets a thicker radiator and additional trans cooling, and cellular system will get some new antennas.

I'd like to add some storage space somehow, but I'm just not sure how yet. Only Idea I've had so far is some parts storage between the chassis rails. Possibly some form of low-profile roof box, but it's gotta be low and not look stupid.

Just kinda curious what y'all might add in if you were building a truck with this purpose in mind.......

Great ideas, but hard to justify either really.

I looked at on board air when I started building him up. A York compressor installed would be most likely around $4-500, and only really used to fill a tire, an air mattress or blow dirt.....On top of adding more into the engine compartment. Instead I went with the Viair 88P 12v compressor Favored by the big tire dune guys for refilling their tires, and I always keep a couple air dusters in the truck for emergency beer chilling, so I can blow dirt out of stuff if I need to.

Running water would be interesting, lol. I generally fill four 2-liters every day at a pump or some kinda puddle, and a couple solar showers can hang from trees or the roof rack. I haven't really felt I was lacking in this area. Enough to eat, drink, and wash anytime, anywhere.

I wonder if a gun rack would work okay for holding a detector. The suction cup kind I can stick to a window.
