Gold is just above Aluminum on the conductance scale so in order to find Gold, you will have to use the ZERO-DISC Mode and accept all metal to find Gold. There won't be a single number that will be displayed for Gold since the size of the Gold target is also a variable. Bottom line: in order to find Gold you must dig pulltabs.

We all wonder that since no detector can really tell you without a doubt if there is gold under your coil or another pull tab. Sometimes after you clear a place out of the coin signals then go back and concentrate on the low numbers you may get lucky, or you may not, but you keep clearing out the junk you find so that the next time you go back you have a slightly better chance.
