I found this in columbus, ga in a hill near what i think they call Cusseta Sands. Ive actually found two, this is one is just much larger

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

MD, I reduced the image size and corrected the color, but I still
can't see much more here than a odd shaped stone.

We could be missing something...What do you feel is special about this rock?

Due to where i found it, i believe it to be the claw of some prehistoric animal, just which one. The hill i go to is loaded with fossils, shark teeth and so on. It almost matches the giant sloth, i dont know. It was at the bottom of the ocean at one point. I live in the coastal plains region. You can literally see where the white sands were which arw layered on top deposits of clay, a grey flaky type deposit, which is where the claw was expired

In my opinion its a claw. The hill is made up of clay like deposits and white sands at the top. It was at the bottom of the ocean whatever it is
