When detecting on the beach and someone asks you what you are looking for, does anybody answer in a pirate voice? "Arrr. I be lookin' for pirate plunder, matey!".

America was founded by tough hell-raisers. Rugged citizens who evaded taxes, spoke strongly against tyranny, grew tobacco, brewed beer, distilled spirits, and smuggled weapons. And it will be saved by those same types of citizens.

I have told them I'm looking for my Retirement treasure. I have a premission at a college and one day while getting a great signal the campus police walked up while I was digging the plug. In the side wall was a fatie wedding band. I let him retrieve it. He was stoked. So then he took me over to the volleyball pit after telling me of a lost ring there. After figuring out the sand ground balance I made about three swings and found another ring. Turns out it wasn't the one he had a description of. 2 trips later I found the ring he described but the ph. Number he had didn't answer after several calls. I tried.

When asked what I'm looking for I tell them, "Whatever I find is exactly what I was looking for!"

Usually elicits a smile and they move on...
