Maryland, south of Annapolis on the Bay. Three things contributed to it, lunar high tide (full moon), seasonal high tide and pesky subtropical storm sitting out in the Atlantic. Effects were strongly felt in NJ, NY and VA also.

BTW the name of the tropical storm off the Atlantic Coast was "Melissa". BAD Girl!

Thanks, been busy and didnt realize there was a storm out there. Since moving to N Texas from the Carolinas years ago, tropical storms and king tides have not been as much of a concern. But always respect the ocean, never take it for granted...

And watch out for "rogue" or "sneaker" waves. At the ocean they will take you out in an instant.
