For the many members that thought this Dents Run Lost Civil War Gold Story was a JOKE, THINK AGAIN . The Associated Press is running a update tonight on the many court trials we been through in the last 16 months. Its been a long fight but the truth will come out. This is why we could not talk about some things and had to stay quiet. NOW WE CAN TALK . We beat the FBI and DCNR in court many times and now they have to give us the info we been asking for. :headbang::hello2::icon_thumleft::laughing7:

Did the FBI dug up and remove 9 tons of gold and silver worth over $475 million scrap price / over $600 million collectors price ?????? Soon we hope to get this in Federal Court and find out the truth

Not saying People should Break the Law. But this is a Great Example why People Consider It.

When the Powers That Be, Throw you off, Then come in & "Investigate" then refuse to
tell their conclusions, Without a Court Order that costs Thousands maybe tens of Thousands.
to get. through Lawyers & Court Cases. Something's Wrong.

Sadly it will also Taint what ever Info the State Does Release Now.
Will it be heavily Redacted & Will it even be Accurate ?

Interesting turn of events.
To me , now his story is validated.

What a bunch of BS from the feds and the state.
First, the fbi says it has nothing and then lo and behold when the pressure is put on them they come up with a boatload of docs and vids.
Even worse, they say it my take years to produce them.
If those docs were against you, they would have been released yesterday.
Reminds me of the J Edgar Hoover days.
Nothing has changed.
Hell, they're still hiding stuff from J Edgar's time.

Good luck, Finderkeep

I doubt many people either heard, read or otherwise gave any credence to what the FBI initially said...."it's an on going investigation." Sure, it sounds like lip service but apply some logic and maybe it really means exactly that. There are still some gold bars unaccounted for in the 2015 Miami-Boston highway heist.

Anyone think that the FBI wouldn't be interested in possible gold bars in Pennsylvania?

Anyone seriously think that there are 2,400 pages of documents and video files that pertain to just Dent's Run?

Is it possible the FOIA requests are coming up empty because the Dent's Run documents are part of a larger file? Remember, in submitting a FOIA request, you have to use key words e.g., "Dent's Run", "Pennsylvania Gold", etc. If Dent's Run documentation is filed with the Miami-Boston file, you'd never get a hit on Dent's Run and most likely the FBI itself wouldn't get a hit either because they simply can't find a stand alone file on Dent's Run.

Why will it take years to gather the 2,400 documents? Because those documents are part of a multi-year investigation spread across multiple states and agencies. And, it's not like someone can run to a filing cabinet, pull the file, make a copy and drop it in the mail. There is a process involved in releasing documents of this nature, especially if they are tied to a legit, on going investigation. Every single document will have to be reviewed, redacted then reviewed again. That's how it works.

I realize that some of you have your hopes up with this statement "does not protect or otherwise prohibit disclosure of communications between the FBI and the natural resources department regarding the excavation at Dent's Run." As some of you believe that the FBI did recover gold at Dent's Run and ran away with it in the middle of the night, you think the FBI is going to contact the Natural Resources Department? So no, there will be no evidence of "communication" between the two agencies of gold being found.

Of course the decision will be appealed, on the grounds of it's an on going investigation. Hunker down folks, it's gonna be years before you learn the truth.

Treasure Hunters’ Lawyer Can Get FBI Documents on Civil War Gold

Oct. 25, 2019, 4:56 PM

  • Right-to-know law covers FBI, state agency communications
  • Judicial orders exempt from law, court says
Communications between the FBI and Pennsylvania state officials are public records, a state court ruled in granting the request of a treasure-hunting company searching for Civil War-era gold.
William Click, an attorney for Finders Keepers LLC, can see communications between the FBI and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources related to excavation around a site where the gold was allegedly buried, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania said Oct. 24.
Pennsylvania courts generally interpret the state’s Right to Know Law in favor of more public disclosure. Some documents and communications are off limits, such as judicial orders and financial records. But absent exceptions, courts will generally turn over documents that plaintiffs request, the court said.
The state had denied the request because the communications were sealed under a federal court order and exempt from disclosure. Click filed a Pennsylvania Right to Know Law (RTKL) action, saying the department only relied on a state official’s affidavit about the federal court order and didn’t review the actual order.
Commonwealth Court Judge P. Kevin Brobson said the court’s order didn’t protect or prohibit the disclosure of communications regarding the Civil War-era gold. Only the order itself is exempt from disclosure, he said.
“The Order does not provide any conceivable basis for the withholding of the requested records under the RTKL, with the sole exception being the Order itself, which is filed under seal,” Brobson said.
Finders Keepers originally met with the FBI and Department of Justice officials to discuss a cache of Civil War-era gold in Pennsylvania. The FBI told Finders Keepers that a contractor located a large metal target in the area where the suspected gold was located, but later said nothing was found after the area was excavated.
The case is Cluck v. Dep’t of Conservation & Nat. Res., 2019 BL 406932, Pa. Commw. Ct., 1683 C.D. 2018, 10/24/19.

The FBI said they are doing a investigation , We asked them to do the investigation , We gave them everything they needed to do the investigation, They are investigating DCNR and other government officals

There is a lot more to this hunt and its not just civil war gold.

Since we asked for the investigation , we should know what its about, and if there is no gold found then there is no investigation. If gold was found then we have a investigation.
The FBI said NO GOLD WAS FOUND but said there is a on going investigation :BangHead: . Its been 17 months so how long does it take them to check things out. They will not talk to us or our lawyer so we don't think they are doing a investigation and using the term investigation to drag things out.
