Hate it. I was around when this began and still don't like it, nor understand why we're still doing it.

What kills me is the fact I have to sit inside or burn more juice (electricity) just to continue doing things.

Which brings to mind that it is / was a "conspiracy" amongst the electric Co's.

I have never one time, had an extra hour of sleep on the night when we were expected to set the clocks back. It never fails, either a battery in a smoke detector goes off in the middle of the night or my phone rings and it's a wrong number!

I've always functioned on daytime and nighttime. Same as the birds do.

said it was stupid for years, believe it was just to see if they could manipulate people into doing something and they did and do

I like it. I was around when it was passed into law (1966) but was too young to remember life with out it.

I like that the extra daylight we enjoy during the summer months is shifted (via clock) to sync up with most peoples schedules.

I would hate having the sun rise at 4:40 AM and set at 7:30 in June. My wake/sleep cycle is tied to my job as it is with most people. I typically sleep until 5:30 and I'd be sleeping through the first hour of daylight.

It was done to give more daylight to the active part of the day in both summer and winter. Spring forward gives us more daylight in evenings which saves some energy as dont have to turn on the lights earlier, on fall back it gives more light in the mornings. The further north you are the more affect it has, along equator there is no need as daylight varies very little, constant 12 hours of light day, 12 hours of darkness in the night.

In Philippines on Jan 1 sun rises at 6:30am and sets at 5:30pm.
In Minot ND it rises at 08:28 and sets at 05:05 PM

In philippines on June 1st sun rises at 5:30am and sets at 6:30pm
In Minot ND on June 1 sun rises at 6am and sets at about 930pm

Its that "adjustment period" that comes along with it that I dislike.

We don't have to worry about it here in Arizona.

It's' just an hour. 1/24th of a day. Don't bother me at all. Up before the sun rises and back home when it sets. I mean there is only so much daylight in winter and I'm catching all of it regardless of how the clock is set.

Can't stand it. There is no reason it should start getting dark at 4:30 pm. Well, there is a reason, it's the stupid _ _ _ _ time change !

I get grumpy & depressed, I think it's from changing all the non-self adjusting clocks twice a year.
I'm losing ground, clock in the bedroom wasn't changed last year so it's right. The one in the kitchen hasn't been turned back, so it's wrong, and I'm grumpy, depressed and confused. :icon_scratch::dontknow:
