Metal Detector Available at Local Library

I was just on-line searching all kinds of metal detecting stuff and came across this from the Poughkeepsie, NY public library.

They have a metal detector kit that they loan out for 7 days ! This is pretty cool and allows someone to try the hobby without buying a detector.

I've never seen such a thing.

Anyone else heard of this from your local library?

I never heard of anything like that.

Very nice of them to make a detector available on loan.

Funny I came across this post. This is the library district that I work for and I put the kit together for the public to borrow. May be time to upgrade it to a current model though.
