Went, and did the survey today, and as I was walking along through the woods, something got in my eye, and I’ll be darn if I can’t get it out let alone see it. It’s above my top eyelid, I’ve lowered my eyeball down to spray it out, and can’t see it, but feel like something is there. It’s either that or I’ve scratched my cornea.

Haha. Yeah usually if I can’t wash it out, I’ll put eye drops in, and by morning time it’s either worked it’s way out, or where I can get it

You will be picking it out of the corner of your eye in the AM

I once was weed eating...a cheat grass seed pod (coarser than a fox tail) flew up into the outer corner of my eye. Pointed end first.

I couldn't pull it out and every time I blinked it went further in!!
Pretty soon it was completely behind my eye ball. Damm it hurt and panicked me.

Freaked out and blinked a bunch of times and it slowly worked it's way around to the inner corner of my eye.

The pointy end was sticking out just enough for me to see it through rivers of tears. Pulled it out and went back to cutting weeds.

Wear glasses!!

I had my sunglasses on, that when it hit me in the eye is when some briars nocked them off as I was leaning down to get under them. So they were on top of my head, and were on before that, but was looking at a measurement so pulled them up, and that’s when it happened as I passed by the tree.

One of the areas I had to deal with today. Good new is there is a bluff shelter that is hidden by cane poles. When they built the main road at the bottom of the hill they piled the dirt from the road next to the rock wall and bluff shelter. Luckily it’s not been documented, and marked like the other ones that are on our property. This one was really hidden. I’ve already decided that at some point, an time were going to take the tractor down there to dig the spoils out in front of it so we can get closer to the base Adjustments.jpg

The women, one of the granddaughters of the original owner was out there with me today helping me mark the lines out. I felt bad because they had been banging in t posts half the day, and then mom text them, and told them we were going to go back up there, and mark our property lines because her attorney told her to since it’s in a trust. Which was our excuse. Come to find out they own absolutely none of the spring, or creek. I told her that instead of banging down through the dirt, and rock to put the T posts in, to use their skid steer bucket to push them down in the ground. We laid 20 acres of T posts in about 6 hours, including some partial wire by doing it this way.

I find an "old trick that an Indian taught me" to work pretty good. Some may think it gross but it works. If I see the eyelash or the piece of saw dust in my eye, I spit on my finger and touch it to my eye and the debris sticks to the spit and out it comes. It is the bubbles in the spit that acts as suction cups.Better to have it be your own spit though lol.

I’ve used that method before, but this one is way in the back, and took my light that’s like a torch, and couldn’t see a dang thing. I plan on using eye drops because water works if you can see it, but it also irritates your eye more because it dries them out even though you’re running water through them.

Glad to hear the neighbor thing seems to be working out. Always better in the long term if it can be done in a friendly manner. Sorry to hear about the eye. One time I got a wood sliver in mt eyeball and had to get a Dr. to remove it. Hurt like hell for a while. Good luck with it.

It’s a small piece of tree bark, big enough to hurt, and it’s right behind that area in the backside of your eye socket that’s the hard part, so I’m having a hard time to get it past that point. I have a bottle of liquid tears, so I’m hoping it’ll come out soon, or at least by morning.

I've found a folded cold wet hand towel over the eyes seems to help.
Something about the reduction of swelling and weight on the eyes to reduce movement.

Well the overnight part didn’t work. It’s still stuck behind there so I’m off to the ER to see if they can flush it out. So much for a birthday gift.

My trick to get dirt out is to grab your upper eye lash and pull it down on to your cheek.Do this right away before it moves.Works all the time.No applause just throw money.ha

pieces of it have came out. They gave me antibiotic drops, that also contain anti inflammatory that I've been using. Over time I've noticed when I wake up, there is pieces in the corner of my eye
