I saw just the opposite today. In my local store it was two little old boomer ladies with their cart filled up, standing in front of a meat case complaining. Now the meat case was full. Ground beef, steaks, roasts, pork chops, and chicken...all of it was there. What was she complaining about? She was complaining that she had to pay for her cart full of food and that she wanted it delivered. This store even has a special time for seniors only shopping...and they load up. Don't think it is just younger people hoarding as plenty of older people are doing it too.

So a question ARC, Since I am over 60, I can only shop from 7:00 am - 9:00 am ( 2 hours ) and all the younger folks have from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm ( 11 hours ) ?

The older folks get first picks... the trucks stock overnight... They CLEAN the stores FOR them... then they let the older folks in to get what they need FIRST and safely as possible.

But yet they wait... or go at all other times... which I feel is their choice.

They get in the mix... amongst the possible virus crowd... this is a PUBLIC health concern at hand... there has to be some organization to protect everyone... NOT just the older folks.

The shelves are bare by 10 anyway Simon.

There are some REAL problems going on here... I mean SERIOUS problems... I will not make light of it when I say... there is NOTHING here.

Trucks arrive... and people are trying to meet truck drivers at loading docks.

Stores are hiding bleach cases and such in bathrooms.

There have not been wipes or hand soap on a shelf in 2 weeks.

It is absolutely ridiculous that the stores are out of stuff... I went to SIX stores... To get half I what I need at the end of the day.

AND I AM ONLY "filling in".

IF I WERE OUT... I WOULD BE OUT... THATS IT ! ! !

I did get bottle water... that was good... and a sea of water for as far as the eye can see... *POOF* was gone.

Where I am at, they only allow us 1 hour, ( 7:00 am until 8:00 am ). I agree we have a serious problem but by restricting those 60 and over to a set time frame of 2 hours while the rest of the population can shop for 11 hours is harsh. I hear what you are saying and can agree up to a point. :notworthy:

My point is... the picture misleads.

Children also matter.

The mothers without matter.

The people with little to no money matter.

THE PEOPLE WITH NO CAR / transportation matter who CANT get from store to store to buy a roll of tissue matter.

ALL people matter.

ALL people are also susceptible to this.

Not just the old.

So... I feel sorry for everyone without.

People NEED to talk about this.

Thissi how problems get solved.

This is why we are all in this mess TOGETHER to begin with.

For no one "up top" talked enough about this.

I had a thought yesterday while standing in line with a mask and glove wearing guy in front of me... and a masked wearing woman behind me...

Damn I sold my scuba tanks... and they had air from a pre-virus time in them. :/

Can you imagine... me showing up with mask and scuba tank on :P
