Hello everyone. I want to start experimenting with magnet fishing and I would love to gat help with some questions.

1. I want to get things that weigh up to 15 kilogram what magnet to buy?

2. is it preferable one-sided or two-sided magnet?

3. How can I avoid my fingers from getting caught between the magnet and something I'm trying to get out of it?

4. Is there a company recommended for magnets? Is there any particular rope that is recommended?

5. If the magnet is caught on an iron bridge, for example, what is the best way to release it?

Tanks!

Brute magnetics is a great source.
A 350lb magnet should suffice for most items deemed worthy such as small safes, guns, etc.
As for safety, just exercise extreme caution when handling. Make a cover using a plastic peanut butter lid with a steel washer securely duct taped to the inside of the lid.
Double-sided rigs are good for dragging, single sided magnets are good for 'hopping' but work well when dragging also.
I use 500lb paracord but others do not like it. Simply a matter of preference.
