Sadly it is not permissible to hunt NYS park property. There are some parks that can be accessed with a permit but they don't give permits for parks on historical areas. Who owns what is not park? You would have to get permission from them, but if only access is in the park you cannot walk on park property with a detector in hand or face consequences.
