Not Cheech & Chongs ! Nice Dreams Truck :tongue3:

I heard a Strange Tinkling Sound while sitting here at the Computer.
Thought it was a Crurch Bell in the Distance.

it Just got Close enough to see it a Block over & Realized it was an Ice Cream Truck .

I Have to remember Day & Time about 3:10 PM & See if it has a Timed Root.
Perhaps take a Hike over that way. No idea if it goes by Here :(

Then again, Maybe I should wait for a Nice Dreams Truck :coffee2:

Remember it, heck I think I supported it back in the early 70's ! It came thru our neighborhood every afternoon, and most of those afternoon's I was in line waiting for my Ice Cream Sandwich or "Bomb Pop". Those were the days.

We still have creepy looking beat up ice cream truck still come down are street on Sunday and i gotta get a picture of that guy and rig he has. He definitely doesn't evoke a happy and friendly looking appearance imo. I remember as a kind the guy called the Good Humor Man, in the Chicago suburbs on a peddle trike and a string of bells he'd be yanking on.

Ha!
Us kids in the sixties would follow the truck around for blocks on our peddle bikes.

I remember the Ice Cream truck, but I also remember the old man who pushed a single wheeled cart with a lid opening on top, filled with "dry ice". That was in the very early 50's right before we moved to the country.

been roughly 55 years since I ran with change from my mom to the ice cream truck.

we were visiting my grandmother on the right day and time that it went though that day.

since then I've probably seen 1 or 3 , But never Patronized one since the 60's that I at least remember

I remember thats what we did, grab some loose change and run like the wind out to the truck when we heard those chimes thru our Johnstown Pa neighborhood. Ice Cream Joe had a picture of an ice cream cone "man" on the side and everything was 10 cents.....dimes were silver too....

Grew up in the country, so we didn't have an ice cream truck visit us. I do recall a work picnic a few years ago where they hired a GH man with his cart filled with ice cream. Unfortunately, the GH man found the beer keg and somewhat over imbibed. He disappeared into the weeds to sleep it off and when he woke up, he found out the kids cleaned out his ice cream cart.

He was not happy now because he was supposed to go to another picnic and his cart was cleaned out!

Turned out to be a "Good Humor" story after all!

I wish I had seen this that day... my buddy said he saw the kids cleaning out the cart and one kid fell in head first and he saw just the kids legs twitching.
