Police in Wisconsin were left befuddled after an apparent brain was found on a Lake Michigan beach.

According to Fox 6 in Milwaukee, the brain was found by construction worker Jimmy Senda, who was walking along the shore at Samuel Myers Park in Racine on Tuesday.

“I don’t really know how to explain it, it didn’t register...I was just like, ‘What is this?’” Senda told the TV station. "I came across this square package, wrapped in aluminum foil, and around it, it had a pink rubber band.

“Curiosity got to me, so I popped it open and it looked like a chicken breast -- kind of. It took a little bit for it to really (register) of what was going on; it was a brain.”

Police are working with the Racine County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine if the brain is human or not.

From a picture on another site it is definately not human. Either a pig or a sheep. Something with a horizontal neck and brain stem. The cerebellum and medulla are in line with the cerebrum. Not below it as in a human (with a vertical neck/brain stem).

Somebody lost their lunch overboard maybe. Or left it on the/a beach.
I've had barbacoa (cow head) cooked in the ground when brains were mixed with meat after and used in tacos.
I don't recall using brains alone , but some folks do.
Look up Sesos.

Brain is a delicacy in other countries. It’s a Taiwan street food. If you don’t know what you are eating and it’s prepared with the proper seasoning it tastes pretty good.

Something about it’s association with Halloween that creeps people out.
