No in general, it's a polimer film with another polimer adhesive. Yes, if you are looking for trace amounts of metal (i.e. ppm and ppb levels). This does not apply for self adhesive metal strips and foils, such as aluminium tape and cooper strips, of course.

Standard duct tape is essentially plastic, as TheGreenBoy correctly stated. Now refrigeration duct tape is aluminum.

If you are wondering if it will effect your machine if you wrap it in camo tape the answer is no. I wrapped my Nautilus in camo duct tape and it had no effect on the machine.

Your standard duct tape will not absorb, conduct nor reflect RF signals.

You could cover the bottom of your coil with it and it would not
change the performance of the machine one bit.

Well at 61 years old I guess I am not to old to learn what I was always told was totally wrong guess you can teach an old goat new things LOL I was always told that duct tape had trace amounts of metal in it guess I was just gullible, the reason I asked was I seen someone with it wrapped around their coil and I did not say anything to them but I was thinking to myself how in the heck are they even keeping that detector stable when they have metal tape wrapped around their coil
