Hello treasure hunters!
I need some advice please.
Some years back, I purchased a White Surfmaster PI new.
It was for someone that passed before he was able to use it. It has sat safely in a closet, and it is now time to let it go.
I just read that White is no longer in business. Does it make it less salable?
What should I know about selling this top of the line detector?
I really appreciate guidance. Thank you so much.

Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!

As I understand it, the machine is basically brand new and
still in the box?

It's still a desirable detector, and if you'll do a search on ebay
you can see what some have sold for.

The very few sold on ebay are showing $350-$500 so yes, confirm it works and sell it. I'd try craigslist or right here [would have to pony up $20 to become a charter member to post sales threads] before I tried ebay.

Whites [unfortunately] going out of business itself shouldn't affect resale pricing much if at all, but the fact that we are heading into December will, unless you are in FLA/CA ect.
