What song is mostly sang on Thanksgiving?
You all blow it. You all should had google it. ALICE RESTAURANT.
I don’t know which grates on me more, Alice’s Restaurant or American Pie
I’ve heard all the different meanings over the years, but that’s not why...it was having to hear it every other song day after day, I was 10 when American Pie came out. Us kids would rollerskate Friday nites back in early 70’s at our school and they played that song week after week, sometimes twice per night!"Alice's Restaurant" is about a group of stoners who dumped trash on public land and were arrested for littering. "American Pie" is about the day Buddy Holly died. You have to know the meaning behind the lyrics of "American Pie" to appreciate it...
Third and fourth on my list: Freebird and Stairway to Heaven...sorry Tim (and I’m a Zep fan)
”What’s your name” still my favorite.I will agree with you on "Stairway to Heaven". Amazing song, but played to death on the radio stations. I still like "Free Bird" because it keeps the memory of Ronnie Van Zant alive. But my favorite song by Skynyrd is "Tuesday's Gone". The live version with the harmonica added makes it a great song.
I don't want a pickle, I just want to ride my motor sickle.
