The Barber series was kind of dull compared to other coinage of the time but I'd rather look at the Barbers any day before looking at the "Bat" quarters.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.......

I like the quarters with bats on them and while they might not be the best US coin design I wouldn’t call Barbers ugly....
