Yeah, good job!
Mapping the place, before Salvage...? Or leaving the site alone, but
wanting to know the identity of the wreck...?
I'm sure someone will help - there is a
lot of experience, out there in our members...!

WOW. 2? Those are beautiful. Somebody here will know..
Would you mind if this Joe guy and I over loaded one to see if he can find it all again and put it back together? He is getting very good at that.

The detail of the decoration - the trefoil with loops - is found on cannon dating from the late 15th up to the first decades in the 16th century. it is not restricted to a country- you find it on French, Spanish, Flemish, Portuguese guns.

Found video on you-tube. Searched 'TinPot WreckDetective'. Comments are turned off. Link just won't post so if you get on you-tube and type in 'TinPot WreckDetective' his videos come up.

EDIT: went thru videos and looks like southern England. Drysuits, 1/2 way warm as no gloves sometimes, diving big RIB, one wreck is Robert Ingham and found it in wreck data-base. Sure would like to have some demensions/weight of the cannons.

Length, bore diameters, any numbers on the end of the trunnions and marine history of the area where found might help.
Concur!

Don...
Cant see anything on trunnions. They really need a good clean. I'm reluctant to mess about with them to much until they've been seen by relevant authorities. I'm in UK, dunno how it works where you are but we have to be a bit careful with it all. Just wanna know about the markings.
