That's great news! We have had constitutional carry in WV for a few years now, no mother may I needed. I still ask Mother for a permit though so I can carry out of state in states that honor WV permits. But no permit is required to carry in WV if you are a resident and have a clean record.

According to the 2nd amendment it's legal everywhere in the US. Sadly in our evolving dystopian country we have stood silent while the powerful slowly strip away our freedom.

Under the second amendment I think the right to bear arms should only apply to what was used when the amendment was written. Musket rifles and black powder hand guns. Possession of any other type would result in a mandatory 19 year prison sustenance. This way everyone would still have the right to bare arms. How cool would that be? Not everyone likes firearms so we should also allow sabers and swords and legalize dueling. It will make the other person think twice about dishonoring you in some way.

There are other countries you could move to that do not have a 2nd Amendment Right if that fits you better...

Ridiculous, more people would get hurt or killed simply because they did not know how to use the weapon. Guns today are much safer than anything in the past, the only thing the manufacture cannot design for is user stupidity.

User stupidity has nothing to do with it. If only flintlocks were legal I think there would be less shootings of all kinds. Daniel Boone never had a problem with them. Often good ideas are looked upon with skepticism at first.. Hunting would be more of a challenge for one thing and you would have no problem making you own ammo.

I think only making flintlocks legal would satisfy the 2nd amendment and put an end to mass shootings. And of course you would have the right to carry your flintlock anywhere in the USA. Its a win , win idea.

Utah is working on getting rid of the permit so you can conceal carry without one.

If they would execute murderers very soon after conviction, that would cut down on alot of the murders. Also, cutting the hands off of convicted thieves would slow down the theft problems. Those are my win-win ideas.

Yet more new firearms laws do NOTHING in regards to criminals. They only strip the rights of law abiding Americans. Criminals do not obtain weapons legally and if they do, it is the fault of the disjointed criminal background check system. Unfortunately each state manages its own with the federal government having their own version. The databases typically do not match. Due to this bloated bureaucracy created by politicians, criminals are able to sneak under the radar.

Most of the firearm related laws on the books are not enforced anyway as the politicians only pass them to garner attention in their quest for a socialist society.

(removed for politics)

Removing Constitutionally guaranteed Rights from law abiding citizens does nothing to prevent crime. It just green lights criminals to commit crimes with no fear.

If one wants to live in a country where their every move is monitored and firearms ownership is illegal, I highly suggest moving to a utopian society such as communist china, russia, or any one of many dictator led societies.

The Founding Fathers were brilliant men in creating a timeless document such as the Constitution. They had experienced a totalitarian monarchy and knew what was required to free themselves.

The 2nd Amendment is not about duck hunting. It is about defending one's person and family as well as freedom should the need arise.

Trouble with any gun law is that only the law abiding obey it. Doesn't get guns away from criminals - who make a living at breaking laws anyway.

Did Prohibition eliminate alcoholic drinks in America? Nope. Just made organized crime big business.

PS - I hunt deer and grouse with flintlocks. They're pretty viable weapons. If you want to kill a "mass" of people there are many other very effective ways. Maybe they should just make mass killings illegal! That will solve everything.

So 1st amendment would only apply to newspapers printed by hand on hand presses, there was no TV, radio, internet, CD, DVD so they are not protected by 1st amendment. Freedom from unlawful searches wouldn't apply since they did not exist.

Banning/restricting guns from law abiding citizens will never stop gun violence. It would be like taking everyone's drivers license away to stop drunk driving. Decay of morals and our society causes crime, not guns. We need guns to protect ourselves from these scumbags. I do believe that if the founding fathers had the types of weapons that we have today we would still have our 2nd. Amendment.
