Yes. But if the FBI was digging an American Indian site then wouldn't they want somebody from the archeological community to document that event? It's not like you can go out and just dig up and Indian mound. So the question remains- why dig in darkness?

How do we know that they didn't have someone on site...After the investigation is complete and appropriate tribes/families have been notified a news release will be forthcoming...

I would think if it was a native American site there would be a whole crew there from the archeological community. And they would still be scratching and digging with their tooth picks and paint brushes.

Do we know that didn't happen? Just because the fbi and FK left the site doesn't mean there wasn't follow-up visits and exploration.

Now it's 5 armored trucks? 3 years ago it was reported as 2 then it grew to 4 and now it's 5? In a case like this, building trust and credibility through an open, honest and accurate presentation of the facts is paramount. Why risk your credibility by being so loose with the facts?

"Hay 100 agents, 3 armored truck escorts , choppers tracking the shipment, military close by, 25 FBI black SUV's on site. All of this after the all night dig. Then they say NOTHING WAS FOUND and we have people seeing 7 quads loading up 6 black SUV's when the road was shut down into Dents Run. 6 black SUV's at each time , over and over until we showed up." Oct 9, 2018

Choppers in or around Dent's Run was debunked shortly after the statement was made via Flight Tracker data.

I live in the rural, and in the rural the drum beats fast when something happens.
From growing up in the rural with only party lines it traveled fast.
Now in the age of technology up to the second reporting I have sit back and wonder where is ll the reporters reporting on this amazing half a BILLION worth of gold.

Now it doesn't take a whole lot of folks to see things to go viral, gee dog jumped my cat-viral.
This is my dinner-viral.
Saw this happen-viral.
Look at this traffic stop-viral.

Hi, The site became a work place once individuals engaged in their occupation . As a work place there laws and obligations in regard to safety. So it is an everyday event for the members of the public are denied access to work sites . Even law enforcement are bound by law in regard of Duty of Care . SIMPLE everyday occurrence. Unless every work siite in world has 9 tons of gold buried TP

I dunno if there was any gold, but to be fair that area and the main road is EMPTY at night, I have been through the area and by dents run specifically. It is possible not many people even noticed, anf the ones who did might not have been able to snap a pic or plain just didnt care. There is some empty rough country down there in that specific area. And i am from an rural area.

At least you now how to go about it next time, who to get involved and who NOT to.
That wouldn't get enough attention for a TV show though.

imo calling it a crime scene is a stretch.

were they afraid of disturbing 170 year old evidence, that would help capture those responsible, even though they have been dead for 100 years?

No, not a stretch at all. Until the scene is processed and the evidence collected and examined, they don't know how old it is or what evidence may be uncovered. Could be 40 years old, could be 140. Remember, they don't just take the word of the reporting witness as to its age and what may or may not be under the ground. Imagine if they started digging, only to find some buried goods from a mobster and 20 bodies piled in there. That's a stretch, but it illustrates the point why this was treated as a crime scene, complete with a warrant.
