Gidday Charlie

Me thinks you have been watching South Park!

Arrrrrgh the plot thickens .....Crab People Crab People.:laughing7:

Well, yes, but there's more to it. There is actually a branch of evolution called "Carcinisation" that explores how the crab shape and limb plan has evolved multiple times through the eras of Earth. It seems to be a very practical and survivable body style and environmental niche. Look at the geothermal vents on the deep ocean floor. Crabs that never see sunlight and live at crushing pressures. They also live on land.

Watch out for them crab guys.

And, if aliens come to Earth, they will see that the most successful order of creatures in terms of individuals are beetles.

Life elsewhere in the Universe. Almost certainly. Life that can travel to Earth? Not so much. The only time it's possible, so far, to exceed the speed-of-light is in Earth fiction. We'll see.

There are laws of physics that are immutable, and they can not just
be ignored in order to fit some kind of wishful narrative.

Sensors on the Jet Fighter(filming the UFO) reported the surrounding atmosphere (the white cloud directly around the UFO was extremely cold).... Got me thinking... :icon_scratch:
Years ago I saw a Lab test that resembles this (cold cloud around a moving object). Could this be their means of propulsion on a grander scale ?

According to Bob Lazar who says he actually worked to back engineer this technology for the gov, the craft is able to produce its own gravitational field around it. The pilot is able to manipulate the field in such a way that would cause the craft to "fall" in any direction.

Great, guessing we are going to find out that crabs, like cockroaches, can survive a nuclear blast. Then there's those microscopic crabs that... we don't want to talk about them!

Gravity is a direct result of mass and density. Like the Earth.
In order to raise a craft away from Earth's gravity, you would
need a controllable anti-gravity field of sufficient strength to
force the craft's mass and density away from the planet.

As for Bob Lazar, the man's a verified nutcase:

"Lazar has no evidence to support his core claim of alien technology. His story has
been analyzed and rejected by skeptics and some ufologists. Universities from which
he claims to hold degrees show no record of him, and supposed former workplaces
have disavowed him. In 1990, he was convicted for his involvement in a prostitution
ring and again in 2006 for selling illegal chemicals. "

If the object was "falling" in any direction then it would never go very fast. As fast as a skydiver before he opens his parachute. Or the speed at which an apple falls off a branch. Gravity is a very weak force in nature. We defy it every time we jump or fly by aircraft. But it is VERY persistent and if you get enough mass it starts to add up.

"Warp Speed" is a Gene Roddenberry invented TV concept of being able to exceed the speed of light by warping space - at which point the object would be invisible to a stationary (or even super-sonic) viewer. A Warp drive is theoretically possible - but there is no definition yet of what "warp speed" would actually be. You'd still be traveling at whatever speed you entered the warp - but reappear somewhere else in space at that same speed. Like Dizzy pointed out - the universe operates under certain physical and thermodynamic laws. You'd not only have to "defeat" gravity to make a sudden stop or 90? turn. You'd have to defeat momentum and inertia. If you can figure out ho to convert energy to heat, and have a big enough heat sink, maybe it could be pulled off.

The gravitational field produced by the craft is completely exclusive and controllable to the craft. Its field is separate from the Earth's or whatever other planet they happen to be flying on. The attributes of the gravitational field can be manipulated to create a stronger or weaker force of gravity in order to increase the speed of the "fall" in any specified direction.

There have been other investigations in to Bob Lazar that really seem to confirm at least parts of his story. They were able to find records of records that have been mysteriously wiped away by the powers that be. There was an attempt to destroy his identity and reputation after he came forward with this information and broke all of the non-disclosure agreements. I for one hope he was telling the truth. With the way things are looking in the world, the U.S. may need some alien technology/weaponry some day pretty soon.

A) The gravitational field produced by the craft is completely exclusive and controllable to the craft.
B) Its field is separate from the Earth's or whatever other planet they happen to be flying on.

Lostgold, I can see you are pretty well sold on this theory. How about we take a
look at these claims from a scientific/logical standpoint.

A) Charlie P. brought up a good analogy: If you are running at full speed towards
your garage door, and then one step before the door you try to stop all forward
motion in preparation for a 90 degree turn . Even though your legs are fully under your
control, you can not make an immediate stop...INERTIA will continue your progress
forward as you attempt to stop and turn, and you will crash into the garage door.
(I am not responsible for any damage should you try this)

This may be of help: https://www.britannica.com/science/law-of-inertia

B) The flying object does have it's own gravity (mass and density),
however that gravity will interact with other sources of gravity. Like the
Earth.

This might be a bit meaty (technically speaking), but it is in plain
enough English that you should be able to at least grasp the basic
principles of Gravity.

https://physics.weber.edu/amiri/phy...&Gravity/reviewofgravity/ReviewofGravity.html.

Along with Newton, Einstein's Theory of Relativity makes an even stronger case.

The attributes of the gravitational field can be manipulated to create
a stronger or weaker force of gravity in order to increase the speed of the
"fall" in any specified direction.

The "Tic-Tac" did a high speed, sharp cornered 90 degree turn. Without
some type of inertial dampeners (Star Trek stuff) then any body inside
will be likely be crushed to death from the G forces.

Hate to repeat myself:
There are laws of physics that are immutable, and they can not just
be ignored in order to fit some kind of wishful narrative.

It's a cool thing to think about, but I'm afraid with our current understanding
of the laws of Physics it's simply not possible.

That said, it may be very possible for an alien civilization that is
100's of thousands (or millions) of years more advanced than the
human race, to understand physics from an entirely different
perspective that humans will not discover for millennia.

I understand that none of it makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of our current understanding of physical laws. That was true from the beginning and it is still true now. I'm not sold on any theories yet just keeping an open mind.

So says the same people who have been hiding this stuff from us all along. Let's remember he was raided by the FBI in the middle of that recent documentary that was made about him. They had been listening to his conversation the two were having out in the forest, through their smartphones. Why go through all that for an average fraud?

You have to admit, the ability to manually produce and control a self-containing completely artificial gravitational field effecting gravity surrounding and within the craft would solve that problem.

I take it we only have his word that any such raid occurred? Has anyone FOILED the warrant? It would be public record. From what I can tell it was because a woman named Janel Sturzel died of Thallium poisoning, and Lazar sold such product over the internet. They wanted his customer records because it appeared to have been deliberate poisoning - a murder. Nothing to do with alien technology. And he ended up being arrested because he was distributing radioactive material through the Post Office!

https://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/2016/08/thallium_poisoning_being_inves.html

This was the second time his offices had been "raided". The first time was in 2003 for selling hazardous chemicals without the proper permits (used to manufacture fireworks - not spaceships).

Perhaps the "misunderstanding" was related to earlier arrest for felony pandering (aka "pimping a hooker") and court ordered psychotherapy (1990) or the unlawful interstate transport of hazardous materials without a permit? Or mail fraud from his "business" website? "Usual suspects" is how they are often described.

The guy is what my Dad used to call a "shyster". Perhaps the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory is to justify the prosecution he deserves?

No, it wouldn't. Gravity has nothing to do with inertia or momentum.

Even in zero gravity - space - if you are thrown into a solid object it will hurt when you hit it.

That's why a Star Trek transporter will likely never work. If you're in geo-synchronous orbit around a planet and "beam down" to the surface you'd be moving sideways at 30,000 mph when you hit the ground. So the writers/producers made up "inertia dampers" to solve inconvenient Law of Thermodynamics and appease the geeks who questioned it.
