When I first started detecting I hated buttons and tossed the first few I found. Now I love finding them and finally tracked down a copy of this to help date/id them.

That is one book I would like to have in my library. I'm pretty sure it's out of print. How much did you have to pay for it?

I bought one when it was released and like Steve says these days they don't tend to be cheap when you find them.

Yep it's been out of print with a very low printing and the author has passed away. $700

Thankfully, I have been digging buttons for over 30 years and feel pretty confident in my dating skills.
I should say button dating skills. My women dating skills are obviously lacking :laughing7:
