Trash - Foil, bottle caps, gum wrappers, pop-tops.

Junk - something so broken or damaged you wouldn't bend over to pick up

Relic - 150 year old junk.

Treasure Sign - any natural or man made disfigurement on a rock or tree.

Bald Faced Lie - what others claim about their detector's capability.

Gospel Truth - what you claim about your detector's capability.

Digging tool - a hand-held instrument used to scratch coins.

Lesche - the ne plus ultra digging tool.

Find bag - a pouch, usually belt worn, used to temporarily hold precious finds from the time dug to somewhere along the trail back to your car or the last place you knelt while digging.

IHC - Indian Head Cent

Penny - a foreign small coin. The U.S. has NEVER minted a penny (it's true! Ours are cents, Great Britian & colonies have pennies).

Creep - someone who asks you what you've found so far today.

Jerk - someone who found something better than you during the same hunt.

Zinc - a Lincoln Head Cent minted in or after 1982.

Finds-- everything you dig

Trash--the stuff you thow away when you get to the trash can

Find bag--some fancier than others -ie: some for just carring your finds in others to
hold extra batteries,water,ect

The Box-- in the back of your car you dump everythimg onto-that your family wonders when your going to get rid of

;D-- what you have on your face after a fun day of hunting!

You learn something new everyday here. Heck, when I first joined up I had no clue to what some of the sayings meant or the abbreviations...I learned quick. ;D ;D Had to, to keep up with all the menagerie here. ;D

TN - Treasure Net not Tennessee
MD - Metal Detector not medical doctor
HH - Happy Hunting
PP - Pin Pointer
Junque - classy kind of junk
Happy Dance - What you do when you find something that's real.
Skunked - When you find nothing

I think Treasure Tales, Mental Granny and Charlie just about wrapped it up. If we left anything out, someone will chime in and let you know more.
