Hello all, I have a friend who lives out West and she stumbled across this one day. We were wondering if maybe it was used for gold somehow, maybe making ingots.

I can't really see it all to clearly, but it looks like it has something stamped on the rectangular parts? Could be used for casting gold pieces, not sure without a closeup though.

Wow, I just pulled that photo up on photoshop and you're right...poor quality. Really difficult to zoom in. I'm going to correspond w/ my friend and see if she has a better picture available. Thanks for the input though!
