Protecting the Pin-Pointer, from mud, water, etc.

Sometimes I know I'm way out there, either very dumb or very
smart, 'cause there's probably a cover you can guy for 10-cents.
Anyway, a picture or two is worth a thousand words.
The extra rubber finger is for cushioning.

As and Electronics Technician, I am professionally offended.
Just kidding. That's why I use a Bounty Hunter for $40.
I can get a couple or three years out of it before repair or replacement.

I have the same pinpointer and i have put mine through some serious mud and moisture
I even started using it to dig one time, then i realized what i was doing.
this year has been cold and frozen but evertime it thaws alittle and gets sloppy, I am out hunting
i just fling the mud off or run the pinpointer across the ground to wipe it off
Mine has taken a beating and still viabrates
JUST DONT SUBMERGE IT UNDERWATER ,that would be bad!
