what kind of coin? what metals? are you sure you want to clean them? cleaning will degrade the value some times.

Get a cheap rock tumbler from a place like Harbor Freight and some course aquarium gravel. Put a cup of water in with 1/4 drum full of coins and 1/4 of gravel and let 'er rip overnight. (Do not overfill the drum).

Good enough to pass to a cashier in the morning.
America was founded by tough hell-raisers. Rugged citizens who evaded taxes, spoke strongly against tyranny, grew tobacco, brewed beer, distilled spirits, and smuggled weapons. And it will be saved by those same types of citizens.

Soak in vinegar ( a mild acid ) and check every 15 minutes or so.
You can rub gently with an eraser or non-scratch pad the clean pots with.
Then rinse thoroughly, clean with alcohol.
In this world of trouble and strife,
bring some peace to someone's life
