md when the ground is wet

i was just wondering .is it better to md when the ground is wet or dry.I guess what i am trying to sat does the md work better when the ground is wet.

Your MD will work better in wet ground because wet ground is more conductive than dry. It all depends on what you want to dig and how wet do you want to deal with.
My deepest find on a dime was almost, if not 10". I'll admit, it was a fluke. The area I was hunting, a small local park, has natural springs underground and in one area, puddles on the surface. Extremely wet and mushy/gooey....but that's where I found the dime.

I normally find dimes no deeper that maybe 4" in dry soil.

I don't care for hunting in ground that is muddy wet, but damp soil that is easy to dig is nice and does seem to contribute to depth.

I don't know if it helps but...A few years ago my brother and I had hit an area under an old cottonwood on a deserted ranch pretty hard. Two days after a long cooling rain we went back and I instantly hit 2 tokens about 1' from each other. We thought we had pretty much cleaned the area out!!!

Wet ground is good 4 digging!

if you stick your finger in a light socket you will recieve a bad tickle. if you take your shoes off, step in a puddle of water and slobber up your finger real good and THEN stick your finger in said light socket, you will likely get electrocuted or you definately won't want to do it again but will have a new curly doo.

I had my hair doing the curlies just yesterday, rewiring a three way switch, I bumped the ground while holding onto the red. I know, turn off the breaker, problem, this house was built in an area that does not require inspection, so as a result, no breaker on that switch. I can still feel it in my shoulders
