I bought one. My Whites Bullseye II switch failed again about two weeks after I got this one.

I've been using it every weekend now for the past six weeks. It's doing a great job for me.

I wrote about it in the Tool Shed forum. Here is a link:

Sorry, Jeff, for the duplicate post; I didn't research it here. I was so happy to have found a good deal I thought I'd share it. But you have it covered so if you like I'll remove it.

PM me.

I ordered one from Harbor Freight as well and got a backorder notice. I am calling them Friday and canceling the order if they think it is going to be awhile. I don't want to wait all summer to get one. Not sure what I will do at that point.

For $15 bucks just let it ride and still do something else when your HF one comes in you'll have a great back up..George

I can't cancel my online order but am grateful at your offer; I wish I could take advantage of it.

Definitely NOT a stupid question, a worthy one. I didn't think of it when I purchased mine. I do hope it's a AA or AAA but not a dedicated type or a watch one. The housing looks like it might hold a 9V.

Silver Fox, when did you order yours?
My order was received 05/08/08 according to their back order paper.
Want to take one with next month, wonder how long for shipping?
They just sell them probably, not make them.
Hope maker was not wiped out by the storm/earthquake there in china.
Or bought out/stopped by the patent holder in the USA.

The Order Acknowledgement is dated 5/20. They didn't say they had it in stock or not or that there would be a waiting period of x days. If I haven't received it by 6/20, I'll cancel the order, this was just a purchase of an item I didn't have for the 20+ years I THed and I can get along without it now also. The price was the deciding factor.

Re: "Quality" Pinpointer on the cheap!

I did go locally and got one. They had a bunch of them and I asked if anyone on the forum wanted me to send them one. I had one ask but it was a day later. I have no idea how it will hold up. The case is metal and looks good. The battery is 9 volt. I am going to send for a vibrator and put it in myself as it only beeps. The "probe" is same as Bullseye with about
1 - 1 1/2" depth but the "side" of the probe seems more sensitive. It even comes with a belt holder. I think it is an excellant bargain but only time will tell. I just called my local stores again. They are sold out. Larry
