I think I saw a show called Cash and Treasures in which ppl were hunting these rocks in AZ and selling them for top dollar. If I remember correctly, private collectors were the primary buyers and the rocks value was determined by shape and color. Can anyone add/correct this?

Meteorites can command a nice price to the right buyer. That is the trick, finding the right buyer. You can check some rock shops or offer it on ebay, you never know. Jay Leno had a program where someone bought a empty box for a Xbox 360 for a couple thousand bucks. (that's a video game console for all you non nerds.)
