    White's Coinmasters

    Hello
Can someone that knows and has used the coinmaster or 5900/ 4900/ 5000di etc. lead me to some info on them.
Articles or your first hand knowledge from use of them and how they compare to the 505. Are the whites of the 80s and 90 still top machines and are they worth what they are bringing on ebay . I had a coinmaster in the early 80s and liked it Now either the 505 is not up to standard or I'm not using it right . and thats very possible......Thanks

    Re: White's Coinmasters

do you mean the 5000 "series 2" or the original 5000. I believe you mean the series 2 (d/t the "di" at the end). If so, they were great for their time (early 1980s). Today, you will be out-hunted in competitive situations. But if you're hunting easy spots with ample targets, and that last little bit of "umph" is not critical, then they'll do ok. The machines of today have slowed down the sweep speed, improved the TID, increased depth a bit more, etc....
