Box cover necessary??

Do you think it's necessary to have a box cover, especially for the beach?
My new DFX has the control box at the bottom so when you put it down, it touches the ground.
I am going to make a stand for it but will a box cover really be an aid in protection?

It is the saltwater spray that can affect the box. Also if you take the coil under water, you can't let the coil get higher than the box or water in the shaft can get in the box.

Real simple...you spent between $800 to a $1000, even if used $550 to $800 right? A cover is $15...think about it...
