Dimes silver what are they worth

Hello, there is a guy on bid and buy who is auctioning four silver dimes, the dates are 1947..........1919.............1942..........1945

Thus does anybody know what they would be worth or are they nothing special, so far the auction has reached R50. for the four.

If they are not key dates, then they are worth at least 6 times face value based on weight.

Here is a melt down chart and maybe you can get a little over melt for them on site like ebay..Best thing to do is actually check ebay, since it is a larger site and it shows what people are willing to pay for the coins.

I don't know the exchange rate from dollars to Rand but if you had ten of these dimes in uncirculated condition you would have .72 ounce of silver content. These dates are not rare no matter what mintmark they have so you are bidding on slightly more than one-quarter ounce of silver melt. If the shipping and the exchange rate favors you go for it.
