For my goodies I use my trap shooting shell bag. The rest of the crap gets clipped on my belt/loops with the hooks like the mountain climbers use.

Here is what I use. A Mcguire-Nicholas Workwear pouch. Perfect fit for my C&S Digging tool. Clips onto my belt. Perfect small Item setup in my opinion.

I used to use the Free Nail Aprons from
Hardware Stores.
But now I use a TROY Headphone Bag.
I just hook the Draw String to my Belt,
And Drop a Spice Bottle with Dish soap in it;
in for small Jewelry & Coins.
Everything else goes into the Bag.
It's Perfect.

This is my "futility belt"

Left to right:

Vibraprobe
Trowel and plastic "spike" (doesn't set off the vibraprobe, I use it for small holes and "pops")
Large pouch for my batteries (I converted my XLT to run on D-cells)
Finds pouch (two pockets in it, one for dirty stuff, and the other for old finds so when kids walk up making fun of what i'm doing I can wow them, heh)

I use a backpack, I keep my shovels and pinpointer in the large park, and all my finds in the smaller part. It's easier to dig and move around with something on your back, rather then in your way in front of you or on your side, (in my opinion).
