I would spend the money if I were you. Being new you have to at least give yourself a good shot at the hobby. That ace is an old unit and lacks the punch of the 250.

Sorry, it is after 10 here where I am at. Use the money for a ACE 250 to start and you won't be sorry. Then if you really get going you can upgrade to more efficient machines.

Treasurefiend and Crackbadger both have really turned up a lot of good stuff using the ace 250, I use it along with plenty of other members and it's an excellent machine to get started with :thumbsup:
You can also check out youtube, several of the members here have posted videos of their hunts and finds on there using the ace 250 ;D
