So I can buy a Garrett Freedom Ace Plus for 50 bucks. It works. Is this a good starter machine for me or should I Start with the Garrett Ace 250 for $212 Let me know asap , gonna meet the guy at ten if you guys think its a good enough machine to start with. Thanks

I would spend the money if I were you. Being new you have to at least give yourself a good shot at the hobby. That ace is an old unit and lacks the punch of the 250.

Sorry, it is after 10 here where I am at. Use the money for a ACE 250 to start and you won't be sorry. Then if you really get going you can upgrade to more efficient machines.

Treasurefiend and Crackbadger both have really turned up a lot of good stuff using the ace 250, I use it along with plenty of other members and it's an excellent machine to get started with
You can also check out youtube, several of the members here have posted videos of their hunts and finds on there using the ace 250
