Metal Detecting Field Kit

If we all had to carry field kits (the silver boxes) like they use on CSI: Miami, what would you carry in your kit. I was just wondering as I watched CSI: Miami.

* pinpointer
* lesche
* probe
* toothbrush
* Water (to clean finds and drink)
* Energy bar (for those looooong hunts)
* 2 towels (One for sweat and one for finds)
* Papertowels
* pendulum and dowsing rods
* coin book (LOL)
* cell phone (for emergencies and to call hunting buddies with find updates)
* Celebratory libations

I think that is it.

I really like the fuzzy look of that ice chest, but rarely prepare much for my short jaunts.

Usually have a jug of water in the truck, for washing or drinking...
There's also a home made sand scoop, small trowel, ice pick and a couple probes in there.

I toss one or two MD's in the back depending on which parks I'm headed to.

I'd get out the ice chest for a beach trip, and a couple wet machines.

Couple of clean dry towels, for me and seat of truck.
Several scoops, in case i go wet, dry,in water..
extra Batterys, some for detector, others for head lamp. and dive light.
Bottled water a few, is freakin hot here on Maui.
Energy bars. usually 3 in case i go into " Overtime".
Cell phone,mines a water proof model.
Extra hat..just in case wind or waves get one..some times wind is blowing out to sea..
Sunglasses.
Sunscreen.
A few bucks.
Water proof case for Keys and cell phone, Yup cell phone goes in case, Never tempt fate..lol
Wieght belt.
Big knife, in sheath, on belt.. wet or dry.. be ready!
All these things and my MD are always in a dedicated Box in the back of my SUV.

And wife knows.. if she takes it out, for need of space for what ever.. it better be back in SUV when i get home.
