Ace has a knockoff of the folding arm E-tool. I use it occasionally and it works pretty good. Much heavier blade.

Wow, appearances can be deceiving. It looks like a fairly sturdy rig, but you found out different.

Suppose the adage of you get what you pay for can be applied to shovels.

Nice pic, BTW.

Whatzit made out of, aluminum foil?
Been there, done that. Somebody post what a real digger looks like, I want one. The dirt around Charlotte, N.C. ic like digging through a tree stump. Somebody show some pictures and prices and where to buy. I know some people that weld, I might design something and see if it works, shovel at one end and pry bar at the other maybe. Perhaps with something to hold earplugs and a small amount of dynamite

Everybody has personal preferences depending on their area, type of soil, ect..

See:

for various examples as well as wise cracks...lol... on what folks like to use.

Yep. I went through two of those. Then I bought an Army shovel and I'm sure I've dug 10,000 holes with it. I've had it close to a decade and a half.

Lots of folks balk at buying the high priced Lesche shovels and diggers, but you spend that much replacing cheap junk.
Best to just get a good digger to begin with.
