First thing I would do is find the manual online. Then bury a few coins and trash and learn what your machine is telling you. After that, go hunt where people lose stuff. Treasure hunting is 90 percent inspiration and 10 percent perspiration.

Be careful where you hunt as most of Hot Springs is a National Park

Learn how to retrieve a coin with out digging a hole, I use a screwdriver. The area you just taken a coin from should look just like you never been there.

Get the book by Charles Garrett, Successful Coin Hunting.

You might be able to get your manual from Bounty Hunter as they make the Radio Shack detectors.
