Looks carved, there are vertical and diagonal marks that don't line up naturally with the horizontal stridations in the rock. Hard to tell though

Yes ,they are worked stones. You have found the work of the priest. To find out more post it in signs and symbols of Jesuit treasure. It will help you understand what you are looking at. Nice find!
