EFFIGIES!! I kind of gather that not many individuals take animal effigy discussions very serious BUT, I’m going to post my rocks anyway! I clearly see a face but I can’t figure out the animal on the first pictures. It’s large, flat piece about 7 x 5:

This second one I swore it was a cardinal bird head with the beak facing to the right but after I took pictures, I see the face of a man with a beard facing the left. Is there such a thing as a dual effigy?

i can never decide if we are being trolled or not but all the same...one more time....if ancient man could create this 12,000 years ago, then he would have made effigies that we wouldn't have to question.

Not everyone is an artist, children practicing, its older than 12000 years, a few of my thoughts but really no clue.

You're getting an eye for the non plain. Keep at it.

I see a happy manatee on the first stone pictured. My imagination allows me to.
But it is not an effigy.

If you need to squint , and scratch your head , (or ask ) then keep looking for the next relic...

It's not really questionable & debatable, 99.999% of the collectors of Ancient Native American relics don't see those things as effigies. It's not a big grey area. It's not a you might be on to something. It's a plain and factual those aren't effigies.

Not everyone is an artist, children practicing, its older than 12000 years, a few of my thoughts but really no clue.

I'm sure children painted rocks/hides (ochre, charcoal, blood, etc.), drew figures in the sand or mud, played with feathers, maybe carved bone and sticks, and probably even picked up rocks that looked like animals (like seeing things in the clouds), but I don't think that they really carved any of that style of rock like that... And if they did pick it up because it looked like an animal (which we wouldn't really know), does that make it an artifact?

There is also an direct correlation between people who find secret animals in stones and people who have posted that they can't find more common arrowheads/tools. I don't mean to disparage people who are new to collecting, it's not always easy to get started. It's a journey, enjoy the ride and learn along the way.

Sorry, but Dash Riprock here says those are natural.

Seriously though, Joshua's response is all you need to read, though everyone else is correct as well.

Rocks are like clouds with a little imagination you can make em out to be alot of things.... But most are natural... I've personally never found an effigy but I'm pretty sure sure how if I ever do I'll be able to tell a an Indian did it

The real experts always hedge their bets and don’t speak in absolutes. Nobody knows everything.
