Please let me know if this is an efigy rock? Looks like her hair is black, the eye is closed, and her nose sticks out and chin. Its like a side profile.

Also u have to turn the phone sidewards cause it took this wrong way sorry.

A true, man-made effigy will leave no doubt in your mind what you are looking at when you see one. We would be poor artifact hunters and amateur archaeologists if we didn't have an open mind. We all may have had a touch of this at one time or another...

Pareidolia (/pærɪˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is the tendency to interpret a vague stimulus as something known to the observer, such as seeing shapes in clouds, seeing faces in inanimate objects or abstract patterns, or hearing hidden messages in music.

Alwayslooking, your letting your imagination get the best of you, if you find an effigy there is a 99.9% odds you will not have to ask "is this an effigy". Just FYI, your doing the "that cloud looks like a horse" analogy on rocks and it is going to make it far harder for you to find true artifacts.

Look for rocks that have signs of being worked.

So r u just making fun of me too?

If your asking me then no, I was being sincere and trying to help you. I have been collecting indian artifacts for 36 years. Two of the most common mistakes new hunters make is how a rock "fits" in their hand and letting their imagination see shapes and images in natural rocks.
