Any info on this face effigy with 1 eye closed & other open? Is it supp.2 be good/ba

Hi, I found this buried about 8inches deep in the ground under a huge tree !! There are Indian mounds all over the area and artifacts ...This was found in llano county !! I read somewhere that the Indians worshipped a god or deity that always had one eye closed and the other open and that's why the eyes are like this on alot of the face effigies? I also have read that you have to be careful with these? I guess some are considered bad or evil? I personally do not and have never gotten any bad vibes from my effigy but I am curious if the deity it's suppose to represent is a good or bad one? Also where can I go to get it authenticated and find out the value of it? The pics do not do it justice! Note: underneath the chin there's a piece missing onthe right side but I think it was made to be like this and if you turn it upside down you can see what looks like to me a indention in the rock where like maybe a stick of something else fit under there? Any idea why the side is missing and what the reason is?

Flint cobble some native whacked a couple frames from and saw it was too cracked to work. Not an effigy. Welcome.

Some people think rock art needs proper lighting and the lack of depth perception caused by closing one eye to be viewed correctly, which might be symbolized by the one eye open - one missing/closed theme. Your rock looks like a something imo.

If I close one eye and squint the other.... I see an odd shaped cobble. That said paradoilia is very real. I personally have the ability to see faces in clouds, rocks, wood grain, etc. Not a bad thing but evidence that the form was intentionally created by man has to be present or its just the ol "P" word kicking in.

Most stuff people show is crap, no doubt. But I’m sure if objectively examined microscopically my gut says that would show evidence of human manipulation. So it’s something. Either art or a tested cobble the only possible answers imo. I pick art, you can believe what you want
