I used the Rover C over 100 hundred times... not really impressed... when it comes down to it! it is a magnetometer with only one probe... The OKM Future- I 160 is a whole different ball game... with 16 probes the resolution is awesome!

Have no idea what is bing discussed here but it turned on a little light in my head.
If you were to design a device like a probe and you could connect in a series would it be possible to send a impulse from one probe to another and get a reading on what is there.
What I am looking for is Gold Bars that were dropped into a body of water with 4 feet of mud and about 8 feet of sand. There is hardpan at 12' the gold cannot go any deeper than that. I have all the equipment to recover the bars as soon as they are pin pointed. All I need is someway to pinpoint them. This is in fresh water.
