Hate to be a spoil sport, but you need to read the rules for detecting on the corp of engineers web site. At Lake Lanier it is the man made beaches only in the sand. There was a thread on here awhile back where someome did that at Allatoona and they were run off. Would like to do that at Lanier but don't want to lose detector, even though everything will be covered and it will be gone forever.

why do they run off everyone? Not like yall are gonna kill anyone doing it. Whats it gonna hurt to dig a small hole to see whats under it? I guess everyone wants to see everyone else miserable and indoors not enjoying the outdoors.
