How to make the excitement last!

In the beginning, the fun and excitement stopped after uncovering a great treasure. I would take them home and put them in an old cigar box, then take them out to show friends. I would inevitably be asked want it was and where and when I found it.

I decided to take some of my treasures, mount them on a plaque that would answer most questions. I liked the results so much, that I decided mount most all my treasures. Now I can enjoy them every day and just looking at them brings back the excitement of the find.

Where in NM are you, Mike? There is NO ONE to hunt with in my neck of the woods, around Clovis. I've been hitting the parks and fields around here for over a year and haven't even seen holes left behind by other diggers...

You're my new hero here on TreasureNet! WOW! :o

I do this same thing but you're better at it.

Very cool and thanks so much for posting.

I wonder why I rarely come to the Ghost Towns section of this forum? Man, 95% of my hunting today is Ghost Towns.

That has to be some of the best displays I have seen in a long time. Nice little insert of I guess it is you, in several of the pictures. Many of the items I find I place into books that can be opened and displayed. They are always a big hit with my frends. Thanks for giving me a new idea.

Just saw this thread.

Mike Reddy, you are an inspiration. What a terrific way to display your finds. What type of glue do you use on the items?

Hi Mike,

It's me, Angie. I always enjoyed seeing your displays at the club meetings! You do a great job and inspired me to do the same! I can't wait to get started. Miss you and the club members...I'll be back for a visit someday and maybe we can all get out for a weekend hunt!

p.s. Nice job with the club webpage! It's the best club webpage I've seen!

Take care,
Ang

I love the displays - they are as good as I have ever seen, well done - nice to see that the back ground is appropriate to the items and where they came from.

Thanks for the inspiring ideas.
