On Google Earth, there is a picture of a clock and a counter-clockwise arrow. You can turn back time. Where I live you can turn back time to 1937. Its how I found a nice old house site, no coins though )

Look into "LOST" Communities w/o US Post Offices; MANY were just MINING Communities, especially near Mountains. Virginia, North Carolina had a few in the Smokies...

How can this be? I thought google earth was photo images. I don't think we had satellites in orbit in 1937 for you to go back to.

Apologies for missing this! It's my first time using TreasureNet in a while and I just noticed your comment. I don't think anyone answered your question so I will. Even though there weren't satellites, there were planes and I believe most of these photos are land survey photos taken by airplane. Not all areas go back to the same time or are imaged, which makes sense sense for pictures taken by planes. Hopefully that answers your question

P.S. I still have hope to go back to that site and try again.
