I discovered a new ghost town in Tioga County, Pa. At least it is new to me. It used to be called Landrus. It was located near Morris, Pa. I managed to acquire some old pictures of the town. It had many houses, two churches, a school and some stores. The industry there was coal mining and lumber mills. It had a train station, and according to a hunter friend of mine there is still an open coal mine there (but he was afraid to do more than just stick his head into the tunnel). An overhead airial photo shows nothing there but trees, brush and grass, and maybe what looks to be one small hunting camp. Has anyone ever been there and done some metal detecting?
