Pretty neat! Is there more to the story? Is it ceramic? I assume the cork is missing?

The jugs are very rare. I picked it up in trade. Bottles and jugs that date prior to around 1910 from Michigan's Copper Country have a sort of following of collectors. Back in the mid 1970's a bottle collecting club from the area published a book that documents each variation. The book Old Bottles.and Jugs of Michigan's Copper Country has become sort of the bible for local collectors. Of course local advertisements on the bottles are the big attraction. The book documents rarity of each bottle and gives info about the area as well.
