I would need more info on this "Slot"
where ? what size ?
does it also have holes to sprinkle salt or pepper ?

can it be a dime Bank ?

Anything on the bottom ?

Slot is about 1 inch, found it in a dump in Jamestown New York in late 60's early 70's

If I'm seeing the slot right,
it looks like a Very odd Slot.

I'm wondering if it was some type of Perfume bottle or
scent candle that held a wick at this point.

Hopefulluy Someone stops in that Recognizes it
