Interesting Letter Signed By 100 Scientists And Presented To The U.N.
The following letter was sent to Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations on the UN Climate conference in Bali in 2007:
Middlebury Vermont Community Network - from Lake Champlain to the Green Mountains
I find it quite disturbing that the IPCC Scientists were forbidden to use any data post 2005 for their research. Could it be that such data would not support the conclusions that the IPCC was seeking to reach?

What do you do if all the world's experts disagree with you? A decades old technique perfected by the tobacco industry is to manufacture the appearance of a continued debate through fake experts. Climate change is a complicated, multi-disciplinary science and yet many of the leading voices who purport to know better than the experts have never published a single piece of climate research.
As usual and as Chad would say: "Follow the Money" and it will lead back to Big Oil (Read Koch brothers, the oil and gas billionaires).
I note with amusement that Prof. Fred Singer is a signatory to the above rag.
This guy is the same person using the same arguments going back to 1983 where
there is : no evidence,
it's beneficial,
it's a conspiracy,
no consensus,
volcanoes did it,
human activity too small
and corruption to make money; for the following:
acid rain,
hole in ozone layer,
passive smoking
and now the same guy with the same reasons against MMGW
He was wrong then and he's wrong now.
The above area's relate to the chemical, tobacco and oil industries.
By delaying action through the use of a mere handful of scientists to cast doubt, these industries have proffited by untold billions
and might I suggest trillions.
How does this compare to a few billion in research grants that Chad believes the 15,000 CLIMATE scientists are after.

Yawn ! 10 Million years from now some doomsdayer will be saying if we don't stop
traveling through dimensions, we are going to cause Global Warming.
& if I'm wrong, who's going to be there then tell me

This is true and it's even possible that one of the wonderful scientists at Minelabs amazing research facility in Australia will discover
and discriminate between those extra dimensions to facilitate gold nugget discovery.

Man crush?
You want my attention for some reason. The attacks remind me of things I have read by others in the past.
If you want to discuss climate change, that is fine. --- If you want my number, you're barking up the wrong tree.
The reason for the post is to show that RESPECTED SCIENTISTS DISAGREE with what the MMGW club is saying.
MMGW club has lied, cheated, and in general departed from science into an organized crime type of behavior, not all that dissimilar from a "protection racket".

If these are your "RESPECTED scientists" then no wonder your anti-science.

Did you say..Anti Science ? Chad? I do not think you are actually paying attention. Your faith is seriously clouding your judgement. Some scientists disagree with MMGW. And Most are not part of the "conspiracy" from the oil companies.
In fact it looks like the conspiracies are all coming from your religious convictions Mr. Powers.
By the way, ever watch South Park? When Cartman froze himself so that he could wake up for the introduction of a video game and awoke in the future, ruled by science. 3 versions of science. Equally peaceful as they tried to kill each other off? When you speak of science it makes me think of that cartoon.

Sorry, you are off topic again. Let's talk about the letter and why it was signed. Did you read any of it?
Can you explain why data AFTER 2005 is not allowed?
It's called "massaging the numbers". If this year turns out to be unusually warm world wide (not just in spots) they will allow the use of this year's data.
They are scared of the truth getting out.
Since you can't prove your theory, and you can't prove the other guys are wrong, just attack them. My My My. What scientific method is that?

Since the beginning of time, the earch has undergone numerous changes and will continue to do forever.
Man may attempt to modify, or assist in change, to the better or worse, and yet the earch will continue to heal itself as each generation makes its imprint...
The more one learns the more he understands his ignorance. I am simply an ignor ant man trying to lessen his ignorance Those with the most birthdays live the longest

Would the hole in the ozone layer have healed itself if mankind had continued to use CFC and furthermore if you agree that man created that hole then
why not MMGW.

can you Confirm the "hole" ever existed ?
explain why ot wasn't like a hole in a Balloon , with all the Oxygen & air
going out at high speed,
& if it did exist, the cause ?
& proof it healed & why ?
Or is this all on the word of the EnviroMENTALists ?

The "hole" and the effect of CFC's on it was done and dusted 25 years ago and then as now, big Chem/oil/pharma/tobacco ran Ad's, payed lobbyists, stirred up anti-gov
sentiment and bribed "experts", to defend and maintain the use of these man made pollutants.
On your other point; man destroyed Hiroshima and man rebuilt it; not "mother" earth.
All around we see the degrading of land, air and water resources which do not heal themselves as Stefan states, unless pollution is wound back by man.

If we could reverse climate change...we have mastered changing the weather.
Does anyone here really believe that we have the ability to change the weather to something "better?"
I don't.
